Troubleshoot Location (Places)
If you are experiencing issues with the ‘Places’ feature, please find the steps for troubleshooting below:
MacOS
Open the System Preferences app
Go to ‘Security and Privacy’ and select ‘Location services’ at the top of the list. You can also get there quickly by searching ‘Location’ in the top tab.
If the panel on the right is grayed out, click the padlock icon on the bottom left corner of the window to unlock the panel. You will need to enter your administrator password.
Make sure the ‘Enable location services’ checkbox at the top is checked.
Scroll until you see Pulse and ensure that it is checked.
Return to the Pulse app. To check location, click ‘Add a Place’ and click the arrow button to find your location and an address near you.
Additional Troubleshooting
Try restarting the Pulse App
Launch the macOS Maps App and see if it is able to pinpoint your current location. If that does not work you may not be in an area with enough Wifi access points to provide location services.
