Tips & Tricks
See your teammates status side-by-side:
A helpful tip for experiencing Pulse is to group your team, or those teammates you frequently collaborate with, together in the Slack sidebar using the ‘Starred’ feature. (See image below). This way you can quickly see the Pulse status of your immediate teammates.
Here’s how to ‘star’ a user in Slack:
1.) Right-click on each user you’d like to group in the Slack sidebar and select ‘Star conversation’. You’ll have to go to each users’ profile independently by clicking on their image or name from the sidebar.
3.) That’s it — return to the Slack sidebar view and you’ll see the user has been added to the ‘Starred’ section of Slack.
Follow these steps for all of the users you’d like grouped and visible with this view.

You can see all of your teammates status in one view by entering the ‘@’ symbol into the Slack text box:
1.) Enter ‘@’ in the text box
2.) View your teams’ status (note: the window is scrollable so you can see your entire team).

2.) Find the Pulse icon
3.) Drag the icon into your tray and it will snap into view
